Welcome to the Brucat Web site!
This site is still in its very early stages of
construction!!
This reason for the existence of this site is as a
remembrance of my beloved wife Linda.
It is intended to exist for a while as an online photo album to be browsed
at leisure by family and friends. It is to recall some of the marvellous
times that we had together and to fill in gaps for those friends of Linda
whose memories of her are incomplete due to time and/or distance. To enable
them to see Linda over various times in her life.
The name "Brucat" itself is a testament to Linda as it was she who suggested
it when attempts to setup a username for Internet access in the mid 90s
produced weird and meaningless offerings like davis592 or similar. To come
up with a name that would be simpler as well as meaningful Linda took two
family familiar names of endearment ("Brumas" and "The Cat") and produced
the more unusual name BRUCAT. This unusual name of course did not clash and
was adopted as our Internet identity.
